We can make our share of mistakes, but fathers aren’t nearly as stupid as we are made out to be on television. The decades-long campaign to emasculate men and to demean fathers has been remarkably successful. Its part of the devastating trend of the great disappearing father and the resulting delinquency, teenage pregnancy, increasing drug use, and much more.
Here’s one group, the National Fatherhood Initiative, whose mission is to restore the proud role of fathers.

Silly internet bringing me here :-) Funny I have been doing hours of research on guitar tab and chords and it brought me to your blog on The American Way: Mocking Dads On Television. I love your blog Rooftop MediaWorks. How long has it been on-line? Reason I ask is I am doing a ton of work in the area of online guitars and will probably end up starting a blog of my own. Funny how the internet brought me here when I was doing searches on online guitars. Oh well, I am glad it did. So I grabbed myself a drink and stumbled across your blog while doing some research on alvarez guitars for a upcoming project I am doing. Well even though The American Way: Mocking Dads On Television isn’t what I was looking for I really enjoyed reading your blog. Your doing a great job and please keep up the good work.
